Established in 2024, Kinglake Group focuses on commercial real estate investments, specialising in Large Format Retail (LFR) properties.
Our strategy emphasises real property assets, targeting opportunities with strong fundamentals and value-add potential.
Combining expertise in sourcing and structuring transactions with long-lasting tenant relationships, our investment approach seeks to identify high-quality retail assets for repositioning, capturing growing retailer demand and capitalising on structural supply-demand imbalances.

Extensive experience across asset management, valuations, leasing, retail and commercial property development
Previously General Manager of Property & Development at H5 Group, a diversified private property development and investment company specialising in Large Format Retail, with prior experience at CBRE and at Herron Todd White as a valuer’s assistant
Jamie holds a Bachelor of Business from Deakin University
James Teale
Director - Capital Transactions
Global experience in real estate advisory, leasing, and corporate finance and an expert at structuring complex real estate transactions
Previously Head of Real Estate Transactions at Pearson (NYSE:PSO), managing capital transactions across office, retail, and industrial asset classes, with prior experience at ResolveXO and ISPT
James holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Grad Dip in Finance from University of Melbourne
Harry Nettlefold
Capital Transactions
Comprehensive experience across commercial sales & leasing, capital transactions, and real estate financing and development
Most recently at H5 Group managing capital transactions in the Large Format Retail sector, and previously at eGuarantee, and in CBRE’s Large Format Retail leasing team
Harry holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance) from RMIT and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University
Hamish Baillieu
Investments & Strategy
Demonstrated expertise in sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments across diverse sectors
Most recently at American Express (NYSE: AXP) in the Corporate Development & Investments team, with experience across private equity, investment banking, impact investing, and venture capital
Hamish holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) from Monash University and a Grad Cert in Corporate Finance from Columbia University
